SAFIRE is the French operator of environmental research aircraft available to the international scientific community and to the industry.
PAN-EUROPEAN COOPERATION
The French airborne research facility (SAFIRE) is willing to develop a strong bi-lateral cooperation with another European country. This action is in the frame of the EUFAR Pan-European Access.
The cooperation could consist in:
SAFIRE offering access to its fleet at marginal cost
The partner provides an engineer to SAFIRE, to work on data treatment, instrument calibration and airflow simulations.
The cooperation duration could be from 1 to 3 years, as a first step.
The SAFIRE fleet is composed of an ATR 42, a Falcon 20 and a Piper Aztec.
The advantages of such cooperation will be:
the scientific community of the partner increases its skills in airborne research, by joining existing campaigns leaded by experienced scientists.
the engineer provided by the partner becomes expert in airborne research.
If your country is interested in such cooperation, please contact SAFIRE at desk@safire.fr or +33.5.34.57.23.23.
The first step is to agree on the principles of the cooperation. The practical modalities (contracts, financial aspects) will be discussed at a second step.
Opportunities in 2011
We still have some opportunities for campaigns in the 2011 flight planning.
Are you interested in a flight campaign? Do not hesitate to contact us or submit a funding request through EUFAR (about 10 flight hours granted for good projects).
